Our organic vegetable garden & orchard : Venue for educational workshops

At Barbebelle, you can now enjoy a brand-new permaculture vegetable garden, bordered by classic flowers, edible flowers, fruit hedges, herbs and medicinal plants. Vegetables are grown on living soil. At the heart of the garden, a beautiful glass greenhouse allows us to produce our vegetable seedlings and multiply the plants.

We’ve been looking forward to this project and are delighted to announce a new activity at Château Barbebelle: vegetable gardening workshops!

Imagine growing your own vegetables, in a peaceful and inspiring setting overlooking the vineyards. Whether you’re an amateur gardening enthusiast or simply curious to learn, these workshops are open to all, of all ages and levels.

MEAL OFFER IN THE GREENHOUSE

Enjoy a unique interlude with a meal in the vegetable garden’s greenhouse, with a breathtaking view over the vines. The perfect opportunity to discover this brand-new space at Château Barbebelle, with its petanque court in the heart of the organic vegetable garden and orchard.

We offer you the possibility of privatizing the premises for a dinner or lunch, for 2 to 8 people. Fresh, lively cuisine by Nadège Kaci, using a maximum of produce from our own garden.

Access to the pétanque court

A place to live and share

Over the course of the year, we’ll also be organizing wine tastings overlooking the vineyards, or open-air cooking classes. Thanks to the pretty pétanque court, you can also enjoy a game of pétanque with friends.

For the tenants of our seasonal accommodation in the heart of the estate and our loyal customers, baskets of fruit and vegetables from the kitchen garden will be available for sale.

This space can also be privatized for your events: birthdays, christenings, seminars… With its petanque court in a bucolic setting overlooking the vineyards, it’s sure to create unforgettable memories!

Vegetable garden plan

Where did the idea come from?

We were driven by a mad desire to produce our own fruit & vegetables and a petanque court… And above all, to share it with the people we enjoy and welcome to the estate.
Next to an old orchard, facing the vineyards, behind a large old stone wall, was a long forgotten strip of land of around 400 m2. This small piece of bare land will gradually be transformed into a place full of life, pétanque and tasting, a true haven of peace that will enhance biodiversity and increase resilience.
